主要从事中医病因病机研究,聚焦于岭南湿证/湿热证及其相关中医药防治方面的基础与临床研究。近五年来,先后获批主持国家自然科学基金2项(面上项目1项、青年基金项目1项)、省部级项目4项、厅局级项目3项,作为主要参与人参与国家自然科学基金重点项目及面上项目多项。在以上基金的资助下取得系列研究成果,发表学术论文30余篇,其中以一作/共同一作/通讯作者在Metabolism、Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis、Free Radical Biology and Medicine、Pharmacological Research、Biomedicine & Pharmacotherapy等领域权威期刊发表SCI论文20余篇,其中Top期刊论文11篇,10分以上论文3篇。
